Biography

Zhang Jianjun works at Guangzhou Boshi Plastic Surgery Clinic. With 42 years of deep industry experience, he is dedicated to medical aesthetics innovation. He is the founder of the bionic aesthetics concept and the founder of “scarless alar reduction.” He specializes in bionic rhinoplasty (natural, three-dimensional, aesthetically pleasing, and soft) and is the founder of Wanhe implants. His anti-capsular contracture technique can reduce the contracture rate to as low as 5%. He has been engaged in plastic and aesthetic surgery for 40 years and has personally performed tens of thousands of surgeries.

In the spring of 1978, he was admitted to the Department of Plastic Surgery at the Second Military Medical University of the Chinese People's Liberation Army (among the second cohort of college students enrolled after the resumption of the college entrance examination in 1977). In 1992, he graduated with a doctorate from the Second Military Medical University. He previously served in the Department of Plastic Surgery at Nanjing General Hospital of the Nanjing Military Command and at Nanfang Hospital Affiliated to the First Military Medical University. In 1994, he founded Boshi Zhimei Plastic Surgery.

He holds 28 national patents; has published 9 academic papers in well-known domestic journals; is a specially appointed expert at the Repair and Assistance (Guangzhou) Center of the Plastic and Aesthetic Branch of the Chinese Medical Doctor Association; has been a visiting scholar in the United States, Germany, Japan, and South Korea; is one of the most influential figures in Guangzhou's health care sector; and is a recipient of the Benevolence Award in the “Revere Life-Good Doctors, Good Stories” program.
